what to do if your vehicle is stolen?
Following are the things you must do if your vehicle is stolen
1) Don't panic or don't start crying
2) Call on 100 and inform them about the theft
3) No need to rush to the police station, One of the police officer will contact you and will meet you with in 3* hrs after you inform on 100
4) He will gather the complete information about the theft and most probably will say you don't register FIR today because the info about your vehicle is circulated on wireless and you may get your vehicle in 24 hrs
5) Now you can search you vehicle at your level with the help of friends, search it in public parking or paid parking of bus stop or railways station or any mall.
6) After that give intimation to your insurance company about the theft by calling on there toll-free number or by email.
8) Now if you don't receive any call from the police station about your vehicle with in 24 hrs then go to police station and register an FIR.
9) To register FIR you must carry 2-3 blank page for application, one ID proof (Aadhar card copy) and photocopy of RC of your vehicle. (sample application in English / Hindi / Punjabi )
10) After your FIR is registered your investigating officer will guide you further.
